Find a show
You're doing Fringe right when you go on a Fringe Binge and see loads of Fringe shows!
Here's some tips to help you find shows you'll love.
- Get to know our Hubs and Venues. Places like The Woodside Pleasure Garden are great to soak up the atmosphere whilst you decide what show to see next.
- Get show recommendations from Fringefeed.com.au the home of Fringe reviews and news (updated daily!).
- Check out a Weekly Award Winner.
- See at least one Homegrown Hero. Our Western Australian shows are a must add to your cart.
What to bring with you
Many FRINGE WORLD venues are licensed and you may be asked for valid Photo ID to gain entry. In some instances, under 18's are welcome to licensed areas but must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or guardian and the decision to allow entry is entirely at the discretion of the licensee. Each venue can have different licensing conditions so please check the venue license rules on our website before purchasing a ticket.
Bars and foodies in our Hubs (i.e. The Woodside Pleasure Garden, Ice Cream Factory, Yagan Square, Girls School and the Urban Orchard) are now cashless but bring some cash along to support the talented buskers as there are no ATMs on sites. If a customer only has cash and wants to purchase from a foodie or bar, they can go to the box office and request a cash card, payable with cash.
Getting To and From Your Venue
Your Fringe Binge will be a breeze this year with so many convenient transportation options to get you to FRINGE WORLD and our many hubs and venues.
Don’t forget to arrive early for your show so you have time to relax with a pre-show drink or treat. Some shows don't permit late entry so arrive early to avoid disappointment. New to FRINGE WORLD Festival 2020: We now have e-ticketing and most venues don’t require you to have a printed ticket to gain entry to the show. Simply show your order confirmation email on your mobile device to venue staff on arrival. A queue will form outside your venue before showtime and most shows have unallocated seating, so line up early to get your pick of the seats.
Take Public Transport
Public transport is a great option to get to your Fringe show, especially if you’re seeing something in the City or Northbridge.
The Perth and Perth Underground train stations and Perth Busport are just a short stroll from our major hubs at Yagan Square, The Woodside Pleasure Garden, The Ice Cream Factory and FRINGE Central at Perth Cultural Centre.
Thanks to Transperth, there will be a special late FRINGE Cat bus to help you travel between the CBD and Girls School in East Perth. The FRINGE CAT will operate every 15 mins Sun-Thur until 11.20pm and Fri-Sat until 12.05am during the Festival. More info is at the Transperth website.
Download the City of Perth Parking (CPP) app to help find a park near to your venue.
Grab a Ride Share
Avoid the hassle of parking and get a ride share to any Fringe venue.
Need help at one of our Hubs?
If you are at one of our Hubs (i.e. The Woodside Pleasure Garden, Ice Cream Factory, Yagan Square, Girls School and the Urban Orchard) and need assistance, find someone with a FRINGE WORLD t-shirt and they will assist you.
At these Hubs, FRINGE WORLD has adopted the “Ask For Freddie” safety campaign, which is based on the internationally recognised safety campaign “Ask for Angela”. This initiative encourages those feeling threatened on a FRINGE WORLD site to approach bar staff or any person with a FRINGE WORLD staff t-shirt to use the code work “Freddie” and signify they require assistance.
